Completely cover up Israel’s war crimes then discuss Israel’s regime change war by having 4 pro war toadies with the same opinion all say the same thing one after the other. True Ben Shapiro slop show.

  • Good but too pro oil

This is a good show. However. Vassy Kapelos is very *very* very very fixated on pipelines. Very. Very very. She kinda twists everything into oil patch talk.

  • Odd NWO

Normally, this show is fairly well balanced and nothing seemed too odd. Until Wednesday January 14 2025 when Vassy used the phrase “New World Order” referencing Melanie Joly’s comment, which I cannot find yet and if I do I’ll delete this post. A full day before Mark Carney uttered that exact phrase in front of the CCP in Beijing. Please clear this up for me and I’m more than happy to be entirely wrong on this. 😬

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Power Play #2188: Countdown to Artemis II launch
Q: What is the level of risk involved in Artemis II given it is the first crewed flight of this vehicle?
There is a tremendous amount of risk acknowledged, but the teams have prepared the crew and systems to mitigate it, and the launch is pursued with careful, disciplined checks and readiness to abort if necessary.
Power Play #2184: Liberal MP’s questioning of committee witness sparks opposition uproar
Q: How does this episode influence views on foreign interference and Canada's electoral integrity measures?
It underscores the sensitivity around China-related issues and foreign interference, reinforcing the push for robust legislation and independent oversight while also highlighting the risk that partisan dynamics can undermine public trust in government efforts.
Power Play #2184: Liberal MP’s questioning of committee witness sparks opposition uproar
Q: What was your impression of the questioning of the China expert in committee?
The impression was that the questioning used rapid-fire, flash-question tactics that pressured the witness and could misrepresent or oversimplify complex issues like forced labor and China's policies, which in turn sparked questions about the government's stance and possible political motives.
Power Play #2176: Trump pressures allies to help open Strait of Hormuz
Q: What does that actually entail to protect the Strait of Hormuz?
The guest explains that protection could involve larger escort vessels and specialized mine countermeasures, but highlights the complexity and resources required, making a formal NATO-style mission unlikely.
Power Play #2172: Shots fired at U.S. consulate in Toronto
Q: What happened at the U.S. consulate in Toronto and how is it being treated?
Two suspects fired on the U.S. consulate and police are investigating it as a national security incident, with potential links to broader regional tensions and anti-Semitic attacks; authorities are coordinating with the FBI and local police.
