Vassy is great, however the best feature of this podcast is the skip fwd button when Scott Reid speaks.
Truly impressed with Vassy Kapelos. She is well versed in Canadian politics and is a very direct, unbiased, unwavering interviewer. Bravo!
Completely cover up Israel’s war crimes then discuss Israel’s regime change war by having 4 pro war toadies with the same opinion all say the same thing one after the other. True Ben Shapiro slop show.
This is a good show. However. Vassy Kapelos is very *very* very very fixated on pipelines. Very. Very very. She kinda twists everything into oil patch talk.
Normally, this show is fairly well balanced and nothing seemed too odd. Until Wednesday January 14 2025 when Vassy used the phrase “New World Order” referencing Melanie Joly’s comment, which I cannot find yet and if I do I’ll delete this post. A full day before Mark Carney uttered that exact phrase in front of the CCP in Beijing. Please clear this up for me and I’m more than happy to be entirely wrong on this. 😬

A fast-paced, policy-forward daily brief that centers on Canadian federal politics, energy policy, and intergovernmental dynamics. Episodes frequently feature one-on-one interviews with politicians or policy insiders, live reports from government-heavy beats, and rotating panels of strategists and journalists debating timelines, regulatory reforms, and regional tensions (especially around pipelines and carbon pricing). Unique strengths include hard-hitting questions from the host, timely coverage of major policy moves, and a knack for connecting national debates to provincial and Indigenous perspectives. This show is likely to appeal to listeners who want blunt, expert-driven analysis and real-time political theater to understand how policy... more
