  • thank you

Brock brings you into the room and gives you what you want to hear in these interviews— a great listen! Changed the way I thought about writing as a business and profession, truly an art and excellent insight into where it all begins: the writing.

  • Pure Creative Juice

Brock’s calm, gentle, focused style brings out the best in others. It allows his interviewees and students to remain calm, focused, and share the best bits of their creative process. The podcast is creatively inspiring. I have just a couple of favorite creative podcasts I listen to and I like to save them up for when I work on my art (I can’t listen while writing :D ). It’s like hanging with friends and juicing the creative flow at the same time.

Q: How do you fight for that time with the networks?
We advocate for as much time as possible to ensure high-quality execution while working within the constraints of television.

Q: Are there things from your acting days you still do while writing?
Yes, speaking the script out loud and applying theater collaboration techniques persist in his writing process.
Ep671 - Will Tracy, Writer ‘Bugonia,’ ‘The Menu’ & ‘Succession’
Q: In your writing process, did you just start with the two characters in a room, and you unravel who they are?
Will discusses how he begins by developing characters outside the room through vivid scenes before placing them together, allowing their personalities to drive the narrative.
Ep669 - Craig Davidson (Nick Cutter), Author ‘The Troop,’ ‘The Deep’ & ‘The Queen’
Q: Do you have a different hindsight on the dullard comment? Were you just introverted or what do you think it was now looking back?
Davidson reflects on his apathy and how he now views his own son's disinterest in school, suggesting that finding oneself takes time.
