His microphone is loud hers is very low…. FYI Great Show!!!
I tried several times to listen to this podcast, but I absolutely cannot do it. The sound is terrible, especially the difference between the two hosts. One is extremely quiet, and the other is very loud. It also takes an absolute eternity to say anything at all of substance. What would take a normal person, 30 seconds to say, they could easily stretch into 10 minutes with the, “oh yeah, OK, what’s that, and then what”? you would have to be an incredibly slow thinker to be comfortable, listening ... more
Oh my gosh, these people are idiots. I had to give up on this due to lazy research that leads to self-correction on dates mid sentence, tangents describing acupuncture as “too pointy”, not researching pronunciation of Japanese names or the Japanese equivalent of the FDA, and not even knowing an everyday expression like “sharp as a tack”. Do not waste your time, instead find one of the few excellent podcasts on cults that exist. This one will only irritate you.
As a longtime listener to great pod casts like Red Handed, I never would have thought I needed another true cults. podcast. But after stumbling onto “Coffee and Cults”, I now know I did! Sam and John offer the thoroughness and deep research, as well as the feeling of community I feel listening to favorites like the prosecutors, Redhanded, Morbid, and Last Podcast On The Left.
I love this podcast!
Started listening in February 2024 and nearly caught up after starting at episode 1.
The conversational tone of the podcast is great for listening to in the car on the commute to the office.
I’ve recommended Coffee and Cults to a friend at work and she’s hooked too now.
If you find the unusual fascinating then this podcast is for you.
