  • Brilliant Canadian content!

Thank you so much for these weekly podcasts. These are so helpful and presented in very digestible segments.

I also appreciate that these are Canadian centric. Most cattle industry content that is widely available tends to be more American focused, and so it misses the nuances of the Canadian cattle industry.

Five star podcast! Excellent job team!!

Episode 87: A Quarter Century of Progress in Extended Grazing
Q: What are the long-term economic benefits Canadian ranchers have seen from adopting extended grazing?
Producers have consistently reported significantly lower winter feeding costs, reduced labor and transportation expenses, and overall improved profitability due to using swath and bale grazing, stockpiled forages, and efficient rotational grazing.
Episode 97: Be Mindful of Minerals
Q: What mineral supplementation do I need and when do I need it?
Producers should consider a baseline of mineral supplementation for all cattle, with testing of feeds and water to tailor choices to the farm's specific needs, including balancing calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and trace minerals like copper and zinc, and adjusting for factors like gestation, lactation, and drought.
