  • Great variety of perspectives and expertise

I have enjoyed and appreciated that throughout the past few podcasts, Jared has not shied away from sharing his faith but has rather embraced it, preaching the good news and glorifying the Lord. It’s been an encouragement to myself and I hope many others can say the same.

  • Wasting time

You are a very poor questioner. It is painful listening to you. You waste so much time on nonsense with your guests. It usually takes about 20 minutes before you actually ask your guest and intelligent question, then let them answer. I’m sorry. But it is too difficult

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

271: Dylan Enger - Growing a Family Ranch
Q: What are your thoughts on debt and leverage?
Debt is a useful tool when managed properly; there is good debt and bad debt, and leveraging debt against land while keeping cattle paid for can be a prudent balance to enable growth.
272: Kit Pharo - Kit Addresses Low Input Critics
Q: What are your thoughts on the idea of enough or contentment?
Balanced ambition is important; you should aim to improve and help others, but recognize when enough is enough and allocate resources to sustainable growth and giving back.
272: Kit Pharo - Kit Addresses Low Input Critics
Q: What about off-ranch investing or diversifying outside of the primary business?
Diversification can be prudent, but keep the core ranching operation efficient. Build passive income streams where possible and ensure they don't detract from core profitability.
272: Kit Pharo - Kit Addresses Low Input Critics
Q: What are your thoughts on land ownership and timing?
Don't rush into land ownership; wait until you can do it comfortably and profitably. It's better to rent and build wealth from productive ventures first, then buy when you have a clear cash flow and strategy.
272: Kit Pharo - Kit Addresses Low Input Critics
Q: What are your thoughts on debt and leverage?
Debt is necessary in some cases, but it should be used selectively and only for things that enable productive use of assets, like land. The key is to ensure you can cover costs without overextending yourself, and to grow within a sustainable capacity.
