- Narration fails.
The problem I had with the first few episodes, before I gave up is that the interviewees are hard to listen to. They’re old white boomers. That doesn’t make this any less heinous, but the way they speak is still homophobic and they use polite phrases like “relations” in stead of SA, pedophiles etc.
That’s ok if the host then takes the reins when speaking and brings us back to the modern day. That never happens. They made heinous boring somehow.

A detailed and harrowing account of a terrible place created by a depraved man. What these children suffered is hard to comprehend but the host and interviews did it justice. Chris Newlin’s final thoughts on this type of behaviour at the end were clever and insightful. Worth a listen.
