For Melissa Moore, 1995 was a nightmare. That’s the year the teenager learned her father, Keith Hunter Jesperson, was a serial killer. It’s also the year Melissa Moore’s doubt spiral began: When you look like your father, and you share his intelligence and charisma, how do you know you’re not a psychopath, too? Happy Face is the story of Keith Hunter Jesperson, his brutal crimes, and the cat and ... more

I thought this was a very well done, ethical and thoughtful true crime podcast. I hope Don Findlay was happy with how it was edited and the overall tone. There was so much emotion in his interviews and I am glad Melissa seemed to find more peace. I listened with a subscription so fortunately avoided the ads others have complained about.
I liked the music and the narration, but it felt like it dragged on a little too long. And a lot of the conversations felt like being present in someone else’s deeply personal therapy session. Was quite uncomfortable at times.
The brother is so annoying and deep in denial he's drowning. Plus his voice is so irritating I couldn't get through the story. I feel like having him involved was a total waste. Like bro, been clear all along it was your psycho sister so give it up. Could have chosen better people to include.

I agree with many of the other reviews that note how we are listening to a woman who clearly has had so much suffering from the unfortunate circumstances ... more
