Easy listen - the narrator is articulate and has good voice and pace for storytelling. The story is interesting, unique and sad. I’m glad the brothers allowed their story to be told & kudos to them for that. Hope they do get and stay on the right path in life. Only time will tell. Overall they aren’t sympathetic characters-seems like envy and greed motivated most of their decisions. Sympathy goes to their parents who seem like honest hard working humble people that did all possible to set their ... more
I’m a Shakespeare professor, an identical twin, and a longtime prison volunteer. And I can say definitely that this podcast does not do justice to any of those here. What could have been deep look at family bonds and the impact of incarceration is turned into a soap opera.
Interesting story but I think the narrator should have been from the culture of the boys to bring a cultural grounding of the story & that richness and nuances of the immigrant experience becomes totally irrelevant.
Only 2 episodes in and I’m hooked! What an interesting story told from such a unique perspective! Well done to all involved!
I truly enjoyed learning about the lives of the twins featured in this podcast, their willingness to share their story, and the juxtaposition of their story to different writings by Shakespeare. I appreciated that the story looks at why things happened and not just how things happened. I think many people could relate to the themes that are explored in the podcast.
