I’ve been loving listening to this podcast to prepare for birth! It has been an amazing source of inspiration and knowledge. Sometimes I listen to it with my 5YO stepdaughter in the car, and she usually calls any audiobook or podcast “BORING”, but she loves listening to this with me! The other day she asked me if I’m going to have a conversation like that after I give birth, which was so cute lol.
I love Elsie’s podcast and found listening to stories before and during pregnancy some of the best preparation for me. I love that she welcome the partners on the show also, as not many men are talking about birth even though they are often the biggest supporters now days. I enjoy how easeful the conversations are to listen to. Elsie is a warm and open host, allowing the women to share their stories in their own flow.
The first few minutes included a land acknowledgment and a mother introducing herself with she/her pronouns. In case you didn’t know only women can give birth we already knew you were a woman. This people are exhausting. Don’t waste your time.
I’ve been loving listening to this podcast while I’m preparing for the homebirth of my second after having my first in hospital.
I would recommend it for all pregnant mums regardless of where you are planning to birth, as it’s so amazing to hear women talk about the experience and sensations of physiological birth in their own words.
Elsie is a great host and really just lets her guests and their stories shine in a really authentic way. ❤️
Elsie has such a cool vibe and her warmth just radiates through. I love listening to all the stories shared by everyone she speaks to.
The stories are filled with such love and even though I’ve had my babies over 3 and 1 year ago now, I still love listening to this pod and feeling a part of the beautiful homebirth community.
