  • Not good.

Have been a big fan, but latest influencer commentary is really on the nose and unrelatable. The “it’s a little episode” felt tone-deaf and uncomfortable - in particular because the featured makeup artist sounds a lot younger and far less powerful. It felt like punching down, despite the numerous caveats of “I’m not attacking her”.

Amy, as an employee, can also only ever take up a pretty unchallenging and almost sycophantic role, and it just makes for a rough listen.

  • My first listen

I just listened to the interview with Alissa. 5 stars because Abbie asked almost all the questions that I wanted asked. But she didn’t follow up on the answers given.

This interview has enlightened me to not believe a word Alissa has said. She came across as complete BS.

Will now continue listening to this podcast

  • THE BEST!

I am a long time fan but new listener and I’m so annoyed I didn’t listen sooner! But I have so many eps to catch up on heheh. This pod is the perfect mix of education and laughs, Abbie is so well spoken and so are her regulars - like Amy, Carmen and also loved Oscar and Lem 🤍 I also feel less alone in terms of neurodivergence, chronic illness and trauma x

MITCH GREER: Answering Your FAQs as a Trans Woman
Q: Should I ask people their pronouns?
Mitch says pronoun questions are not mandatory for everyone; some people don't want to be singled out, and context (bio signatures, email signatures) can convey pronouns without overt questioning.
MITCH GREER: Answering Your FAQs as a Trans Woman
Q: What about bottom surgery?
Mitch explains this is a highly personal and sensitive question; she believes it's inappropriate to ask strangers about their genitals, and notes that medical decisions should be private and person-specific.
MITCH GREER: Answering Your FAQs as a Trans Woman
Q: What hormones do you take and how do they affect you?
Mitch describes starting hormones after 18, using testosterone blockers which initially reduced sex drive, and later using an estrogen implant that reduces the need for daily pills, noting emotional changes and physical feminization.
MITCH GREER: Answering Your FAQs as a Trans Woman
Q: How did your family react?
The family was largely supportive; there was some friction with an estranged uncle, but overall Mitch emphasizes a stable, accepting home environment that allowed her to explore her identity without fear.
MITCH GREER: Answering Your FAQs as a Trans Woman
Q: When did you know you were trans?
Mitch explains there wasn't a single moment of realization; it was a gradual process beginning in early childhood with a preference for feminine presentation, followed by pronoun use evolving over time, and a sense that coming out was not a necessity or obligation.
