I’m a data driven person so I absolutely love the Great Birth Rebellion. Listening to this while pregnant with my second helped me to be more informed and advocate more for a physiological birth. A must listen!
I found this podcast as they did an excellent informational episode on the difference between a midwife and a birth keeper. As a new mom, I then listened to the episode on matrescence. Just came across this the other day and I love it so much!!!! With a PhD in biology, but no background in pregnancy etc. I find a lot of explanations either overly medical or overly simplistic. You’ve hit the nail on the head balancing western science with holistic views, and how you break down each paper and cite your sources 👌🏼
I have learned so much from this podcast! It’s empowering, validating, and full of helpful information. I love the evidence based approach, whether it’s dissecting research or leaning on hands-on midwifery experience, I appreciate the honesty. Thank you!
Women, WE NEED TO KNOW THIS STUFF! Our OBs aren’t educating us, so it’s up to us to seek out the wisdom we need to make informed decisions. Pregnant with baby #3 after a caesarean and a VBAC, and this time I’m taking the initiative to learn more so I can have the birthing experience I want, even if it has to be in a hospital because my husband is hesitant about homebirthing. Both of my past deliveries left me disappointed and feeling robbed of what I had hoped for. Thank you, Dr. Melanie for you... more
