So amazing to actually hear the facts about our bodies and birthing our babies. I had my first naturally with no drugs and due to have my second soon. The hospital look at me like I’m crazy asking to be left to birth alone unless an emergency occurs. It’s very sad that women do not know their rights and do not have access to real information. The hospital cannot wait to tell you something is wrong in some way or another so they can intervene and end up giving women unnecessary long term effects.... more
I’m late in my 2nd pregnancy and started listening to this podcast, and I think this is wonderful. Hearing research, statistics, options for so many areas in pregnancy and birth is so encouraging and a massive help to us making informed decisions. Mel and TGBR poddy has really educated me while being pregnant with my third child after a 17yr gap.
I honestly wish I had this awareness, understanding and education when I birthed my first 2 kids.
Women’s health is definitely progressing but seriously needs more women like Mel who are open, honest and want the best for other women especially when it comes experiencing pregnancy and everything that is involved in this process.
