I really wanted to like this, given the talent and premise. Unfortunately the storylines are disjointed and overly wrought. The music just doesn’t fit the genre or timeframe. Characters never develop fully or even really become likable. Season finale was a letdown. My takeaway is that it’s more of an ego project for Jingle Jared and Pooh Bear than a truly inspired drama.
