  • Batfan’s unite!

Really fun mix of people in an environment that makes you feel like you’re joining in on a convo at a local comic shop, but with the added bonus of having excellent guests.

  • First time listener. Commentary isn't bad but I stopped listening after 10 minutes because of hose bad the audio quality is. Don't even bother listening with headphones. Someone is making non stop noise in the background and doesn't know how to mute their mic when not talking. Was super pumped and immediately let down.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 343 - Frank Miller Interview !
Q: What was the reaction to Dark Knight Returns when it first released, and how did you navigate early pushback?
There was initial concern among some fans and editors who saw it as a betrayal of sacred tradition, but with strong support from allies at DC, sales spoke volumes and silenced many critics, validating the approach and reinforcing the belief in pushing boundaries.
Ep 343 - Frank Miller Interview !
Q: How did your experiences in New York shape your approach to storytelling and art?
Growing up in New York exposed me to its grit and energy, which I channeled into a more grounded, direct style; I learned to observe an urban environment closely, which influenced how I design characters, settings, and the mood of stories.
Ep 343 - Frank Miller Interview !
Q: What inspired you to tell your story in Push The Wall, and why now?
The motivation came from wanting to pass along the lessons I learned from mentors like Neil Adams, to show the next generation how to navigate the industry and remain true to craft, with the belief that sharing the work and the process can help newcomers find their own path.
8TH Annual Kelley Jones Halloween Spooktacular
Q: Were there any new challenges or anything that you learned different from publishing this book versus Book I?
The fulfillment teams have experience so we don't have to deal with production issues, but we have to manage our business operations properly.
Ep 316 - Kelley Jones 6th Annual Halloween Spooktacular
Q: What are your recommendations for Halloween movies?
I would recommend "Curse of the Demon" and "Fright Night" among others as perfect Halloween films.
