  • Not ashamed to admit that

this is my favourite podcast to listen to. Friendly and informative and one of the rare non US-centric Jewish shows.

Also thanks for the shoutout to Japan!

  • really good

funny, charming, educational. Manages to feel tonally light while tackling some really interesting and often rather deep subject matter. Grateful for this show, and for hosts Dash and Tami.

  • Slightly less ashamed

I’m not ashamed to admit that I love this show (it always jumps the podcast queue). It’s funny, pithy, interesting, topical and timeless all at once. The hosts are so warm and down-to-earth that you instantly feel like you have always known and liked them. I’ve learned so much from this show, but it never feels heavy even when the topics are. I’m ashamed to admit that I’m ignorant and confused about most things, but since I’ve started listening to Tami and Dash, I’m slightly less ashamed.

  • Safe space to connect with community 🙏

It’s cool to feel included in the spectrum of Jewish conversations again - often I don’t feel like there is space for what I think and feel and don’t feel represented in most narratives. I particularly enjoyed the episodes with Ittay, and really appreciated the balanced view he gave of his experience and the compassion and empathy he shows for all sides of these conflicts. Props! 👏👏👏

Bearing Witness on October 7th with Nova Festival Survivor Natalie Sanandaji
Q: What are some of the things you do to take care of yourself when you're retelling this story over and over again?
Doing these interviews and speaking out can get very draining and tiring... the only thing that really helps me is when I go back to Israel.
Bearing Witness on October 7th with Nova Festival Survivor Natalie Sanandaji
Q: What does it mean for you personally to take on the role of being a voice for those who can't share their stories?
I took that responsibility very much to heart... I felt that it was my duty to be that voice for them.
Bearing Witness on October 7th with Nova Festival Survivor Natalie Sanandaji
Q: How does it land for you when you hear people saying that it's all too much for them?
Sometimes there's this automatic feeling of almost like resentment. Like you have the privilege to turn that off and to turn away from that and not have it be part of your everyday life.
Legacy, Leadership, and the Long Game: Rabbis Jeffrey Kamins and Jacqueline Ninio
Q: Rabbi Ninio, how are you preparing yourself for the increased scrutiny and pressure that comes with your new role?
Rabbi Ninio acknowledges the challenge and shares she will seek support from both within and outside the congregation to guide her through this transition.
