With the right financial advice, landmines that threaten expat wealth can be avoided. Often encountered by US-connected expats, these financial landmines are more numerous, more hazardous, and less understood than almost anywhere else in the world. As a result, non-cross border professionals, wealth advisors, and even international advisors are often unaware of them. But don’t worry, Expat Wealth ... more

For many British expats in America, building wealth in a taxable brokerage account often means accepting that a meaningful chunk of returns will be lost to tax each year. But with the right tools, that erosion can be meaningfully reduced, and for tho... more

Richard, your podcast has gone downhill, based on these points (1) Stop changing the name of your podcast. I preferred Always an Expat or Brits in America. It’s like you’re trying to lose your existing listeners by changing your name. Stick to one name. (2) the theme music makes it hard to hear the presenters. Change it back to the old music or get rid of the music altogether. (3) Get to the point and be more specific. The episodes have been quite rambling recently. (4) less scaremongering. Focu... more

Definitely worthwhile listening to the various blogs… do go back to the old blogs as well as they continue to remain relevant. Excellent source of valuable info. Many thanks for what you do!
As a Brit who recently moved to the US, to say the least, I was totally overwhelmed by the intricacies of cross border finances in America.
This podcast has been absolutely invaluable in learning the ropes: Richard and the team are able to explain complex issues simply and concisely. All while keeping the conversation entertaining and relatable.
Keep up the great work!
Just found this podcast and wasn’t sure what to expect, but so glad I did, because it was such an honest conversation which made me think about expats the whole expat experience in a way I hadn’t previously. I also liiked Richard’s interview style and Serra made for a great guest. I’ll be coming back to catch the rest of the series - thanks
