  • Good content podcast

I really enjoy the banter on this podcast between the Drummer 🄁 dad šŸ‘Ø and his son about topics which usually concern content produced by the music group YES and associated other musicians.

  • Sound

June 20th episode has bad sound. One of the 2 hosts cannot be heard loud enough. It’s uneven as the father is louder than the son. Haven’t heard the other episodes.

BONUS - Derek Ferguson Interview on Drum Talk TV: New Refestramus Album 'Morri’s Rock Boutique'
Q: What does Refestramus mean and how did you arrive at that concept?
Refestramus is described as a non-word coined to symbolize getting back together after being out of sorts, a playful but practical concept the band uses to frame creativity and organization.
Ep 223 - Talking About Steve Howe's Career
Q: What three Yess albums show three completely different shades of Steve Howe as complete albums?
The hosts propose Drama, The Ladder, and The Yes Album as a triad showing distinct strands of Howe's playing across eras, with support from audience input that reinforces diverse interpretations.
Ep 226 - Oliver Wakeman Interview: From a Page Expanded Edition & More
Q: Can you describe the approach to track order and the idea behind ending with a strong bookend like The Gift of Love?
The track ordering was planned to create a seamless journey, opening with To the Moment and finishing with The Gift of Love to provide a sense of completion and thematic cohesion across sides one and two.
Ep 226 - Oliver Wakeman Interview: From a Page Expanded Edition & More
Q: How did the team handle the rights for Fly From Here and From a Page, and what impact did that have on the project?
He explains Mercury's ownership of both records at the time and how that influenced decisions about which material could be restored or reintegrated, guiding the approach to reclaiming and recontextualizing tracks for the From a Page project.
Ep 226 - Oliver Wakeman Interview: From a Page Expanded Edition & More
Q: What prompted the expanded edition of From a Page, and what makes it different from typical reissues?
Oliver highlights that the expansion includes new mixes, alternate takes, demos, and extensive track-by-track work that builds a richer portrait of the original project, making it feel like a fresh Yes-era album rather than a standard release.
