  • I learn so much from WTC!

In general, I’m not a podcast listener. I’ve tried to get into it, but I find myself drifting off. That is not the case with WTC. I listen while I’m getting ready in the morning. All the episodes are so positive and uplifting, I’m left feeling energized! I didn’t realize there were so many opportunities out there (in construction and beyond). I have send many episodes to my friends with “this made me think of you” or “you need to hear this” intros. Christi and Angela are so down to earth and cle... more

  • Love It

I had this in my library for a bit and I was like, “Do I really want to hear more about my work to and from work?” But now I’m binging! It is so incredibly positive and uplifting. Even the commercials have soothing music for their segue. Every episode is so informative. So much so that my only request is that they provide links from their interviews and discussions in the show notes. There’s a wealth of information and I want to reference back to it all. Keep up the great mission!

This was a great episode with Tia Perry addressing non-traditional careers for women and how women can help close the gap of the labor shortages if given the opportunity for training and acceptance into the trades.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

WTC ‘Progress Through People’ with Vinny Neglia
Q: If you were going to do an elevator pitch for Milwaukee, can you share that with us today?
Milwaukee positions itself as a brand that relentlessly seeks disruptive innovation to make products more efficient, safer, and more powerful, with a strong focus on end-user solutions and an unmatched user experience across the entire day—from morning to night. The company aims to disrupt not just products but applications, staying away from complacency and continually improving what users rely on.
WTC 'Cyber Warfare’ with Nick Espinosa
Q: Nick, how do emerging cybersecurity trends fundamentally change the way we manage business and consumer data?
The guest explains that AI-enabled threat discovery and automated patching will be essential as attackers leverage AI to find and exploit vulnerabilities faster than humans can respond; defense will increasingly depend on AI-driven tools that fight AI, and small businesses must adopt scalable defenses and expertise rather than rely on insufficient, generic insurance alone.
WTC ‘Vision Behind Construction’ with Nancy Novak
Q: Tell me personally, what keeps you grounded?
She credits her husband and family, values continuous learning, and hopes to leave a legacy of inspiring others by making people feel capable and purposeful.
WTC ‘Elegance Meets Ambition’ with Perlla Deluca
Q: What are the most critical safety gaps for women on construction sites today?
Perla highlights gaps in addressing women-specific safety needs, the need for formal safety plans tailored to women, and the value of tracking incidents and harassment to prevent harm, with plans to implement a safety code of conduct.
WTC ‘Elegance Meets Ambition’ with Perlla Deluca
Q: What was the spark that led you to found the Pink Hard Hat Foundation?
Perla explains that her experiences in commercial work exposed unfair treatment of women, especially in government contracting, which motivated her to create a foundation that ensures equal opportunity, safety, and access to training so women can be competitive in the workforce.
