  • Let Them Talk!

Tried to listen to the Kristin Kish episode. I walked away. I think she spoke maybe 30% of the whole time allotted to her. That’s too bad, she’s a smart, fun and super interesting person. So is Kamau but you have got to give your guests some space.

Leslie Jones on Knowing Your Worth
Q: What advice would you give to an upcoming Black comedian navigating SNL's environment?

Leslie Jones on Knowing Your Worth
Q: What was the turning point that helped you transition from writer to cast member?
Jones explains leveraging determination and negotiation, presenting a clear case to Lauren and the team, and choosing not to wait passively for the opportunity—she advocated for herself and demonstrated value through updates and strategic pitches.
Leslie Jones on Knowing Your Worth
Q: How did the Slave Joke evolve from an offstage idea to an updated on-air moment?
It started as a personal premise written long before SNL and became a catalyst for her update performances; the team asked her to bring the joke to life, and she leaned into her authentic voice, even as it challenged the room and required complex edits.
Robert Reich on The Fight for a Fair America
Q: What can everyday listeners do to defend democracy right now?
Keep faith, organize locally, and actively participate in elections—register people to vote, contact representatives, and stay informed without becoming overwhelmed by the news.
