  • Sexist Garbage

Just listened to the interview with Sharen den Adel, and I was horrified by how sexist the interviewer was. I mean, really? Talking about how when women cut their hair they look older, and how he was relieved that she didn’t cut her hair. Or assuming that mothers are the ones who are supposed to get the kids to school in the morning and make their lunch, etc.

Like, what century are you from , dude? Sexist trash.

John 5
Q: I know it sounds like a dumb question, but what can we expect from your live set here, given you have a gazillion records and you play for half the world?
He emphasizes making the show entertaining through a diverse set of styles and keeping the audience engaged, even when venturing into unexpected genres like bluegrass.
John 5
Q: Now, you played with half of the music world and you are one of the outstanding guitarists of our time and of your generation. But do you actually think you got all the merits that you actually deserve?
He suggests that legacies depend on the artist and their impact, citing legends like Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen, and asserts that true merit comes from doing what you love from the heart, regardless of comparison.
Gavin Rossdale / BUSH
Q: Is there a rock song you wish you had written?
He cites several: RxQueen by Slipknot; Bouncing between favorites like Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd and Into My Arms by Nick Cave, emphasizing inspiration without jealousy and the joy of banking ideas.
Gavin Rossdale / BUSH
Q: What was the moment you thought it was time to get back out there and make new music?
He describes always being engaged in writing while touring and treating songwriting as a continuous habit, not a separate phase, with a goal to have songs ready for future records.
Gavin Rossdale / BUSH
Q: What does cooking give you that making music doesn't?
Cooking provides time with loved ones and a social, communal joy that complements the solitary, studio-based process of writing and performing music.
