  • I love the idea, but

The premise of the podcast seems interesting. It is really hard to listen to because they speak so stiltedly that you lose track of the story.

  • I Wanted to Like Them, But…

…they sound like a couple of teenagers from the Valley. They do not have good voices for podcasts; they sound immature and shallow. I just listened to five minutes of one of the episodes of their coverage of the Donna Adelson trial, and they already had facts wrong, they were mispronouncing Adelson, they were mispronouncing Markel, etc. Give me a podcast that is accurate and professional instead.

  • So many uhms

Too many “uhms” I couldn’t make it past 10 minutes, it drove me nuts. Every 30 seconds spent talking about the case was accompanied by two minutes of them talking about themselves, which was frustrating. I don’t like the insensitive nature of how they approach talking about cases and calling them “psycho”

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

198: Missing Since 2005: The Disappearance of Heather Bloom | With Jules from Your Host Jules
Q: What potential leads or avenues do you think could be pursued to advance the case now?
Possible avenues include revisiting caregiver and family records, tracing transfers of medical care and prescriptions, reviewing local surveillance or store receipts, exploring any care facilities Heather might have been placed in, and engaging public tips through police channels and outreach.
198: Missing Since 2005: The Disappearance of Heather Bloom | With Jules from Your Host Jules
Q: Why did the family wait several years to report Heather missing, and what implications does that have for the case?
The host suggests that delays in reporting may reflect complex family dynamics and protective instincts, but such delays can hinder timely investigative actions, leave gaps in records, and reduce the chances of locating Heather quickly.
198: Missing Since 2005: The Disappearance of Heather Bloom | With Jules from Your Host Jules
Q: What are the biggest barriers to investigating Heather's case given HIPAA protections?
HIPAA limits access to private medical information unless a court order or specific legal process is in place, which can slow or block investigators from confirming Heather's health status, medications, and service history. The hosts note that without such disclosures, confirming Heather's location or welfare becomes extremely challenging.
Day 3 Coverage: Ex-Lovers Jeff & Katy Take the Stand - Donna Adelson on Trial for the Murder of Dan Markel
Q: How did the testimonies highlight the communication dynamics within the Adelson family?
The testimonies, especially from Sergeant Corbett, underscored how controlling Donna was, often strategizing how her children interacted, particularly regarding Wendi.
Day 3 Coverage: Ex-Lovers Jeff & Katy Take the Stand - Donna Adelson on Trial for the Murder of Dan Markel
Q: What was the biggest takeaway from Jeff Lacasse's testimony today?
A key takeaway was his assertion that he believes Wendi was not truthful about whether her parents knew about their relationship, contradicting her claims during trial discussions.
