Best-selling writer and former infantry soldier Geraint Jones sits down with a variety of military and civilian guests to learn about the experience of soldiers - particularly, why we think and act as we do; how we can become better versions of ourselves both in and out of uniform; and how does our military experience inform and shape our attitude as we move on in life. Cracking podcast. Incredible stories of experiences from
War. Gez gets the best out of each interview with really relevant questions. One of the very best military podcasts out there.

Any step you take could either mean losing limbs or your life. Add the kinetic tours and full on incoming rounds, often from places you couldn’t see. This allows to gain an understanding of why stress and PTSD are so prevalent amongst veterans operating in these kind of environments and what life means to the... more
Geraint delivers a quality podcast and a great listen. A fantastic insight to great stories told in a very engaging way
Great first hand stories and experiences! Very funny! I thought I would miss the old format but the stories are tremendous! To bring in soldiers and get their stories is great. Gaz_Kennedy…when the gpmg opened up….” Such a great perspective of everyday soldiering!
I have been listening to the show from the start. I am an Army and Herrick veteran myself.
After leaving the forces it can be a lonely space. Listening to this show for me was like being back in the block with the lads chewing the fat and having a good crack.
Gez has that banter and sense of humour that only a squaddie will understand.
A great show! Keep it going 5*
