  • Dang It…This Is Actually Really Good!

I only started listening because Dr. Dan Kessler is a friend, but I quickly found out how insightful, educational and entertaining this is. I listen to a lot of different podcasts and I was wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was not expecting to like this as much as I do. Now I am most definitely hooked. Thanks a lot guys!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Encore Episode: The Naked Vacation Dilemma — Am I the A**hole for Stopping My Son’s Nude Getaway?
Q: Is the dad the asshole for backing out of funding the trip?
Most hosts agree the dad isn't an asshole; the decision rests on protecting his kids and modeling thoughtful boundary-setting while encouraging a mature, ongoing conversation about safety, consent, and development.
Why Social Plans Feel Exhausting, Gift Drama Between Exes, and the Danger of Fast Agreement
Q: Am I the asshole for refusing to pay for birthday presents for my son that he can only use at my ex-wife's place?
The hosts acknowledge that there can be valid reasons to say no, especially when the gift wouldn't be usable in your own space, but they frame the decision as a matter of intention, fairness, and what works best for the child, suggesting that neither party is inherently an asshole and that shared experiences can sometimes bridge gaps.
Am I the a**hole for being mad at my sister for not picking up my sick kid?
Q: Am I the asshole for telling my sister that's implied that she'd have to pitch in around the house that she's staying in rent free?
The general consensus is that the poster might be seen as the asshole for overstepping boundaries with the sister and expecting her to prioritize family responsibilities over her work.
