Having worked with Jon and Bernardo, I can tell you this episode is the real deal.
As someone who’s seen Caravan’s culture up close, hearing the two of them articulate it out loud was great. The values they talk about were super inspiring for me as I’m trying to build my own company.
There are so many filmmaking podcasts out there these days, but this is the only one I’ve encountered that explores the prospect of making a career in filmmaking sustainable as a lifestyle. It’s not about gear or process or technique, it’s about the often unspoken struggles that make a career in filmmaking so difficult and so rewarding. Incredibly candid conversations from some of the biggest names out there today.
Jon Bregal is an extremely gifted - as a filmmaker, as a podcast host, and as a humanist. He is wise beyond his years and cares deeply about people and ideas. His show is also highly entertaining, whether you’re an insider or not. Highly recommend!
