Listened to this podcast since the beginning and am, or was, a fan of the ringer, but I don’t think I can continue listening. They don’t really talk about movies. They somehow talk forever yet say nothing. After two hours of listening to them, I really don’t have a sense of the movie. They spend so much time talking about themselves then when they get to the movie, they basically just say good or bad and then say that they couldn’t possibly talk about it without spoiling the ending which they th... more
Occasionally a great podcast. A little diversity of opinion would help a lot. Who knew a podcast empire that grew out of a love of sports would be staffed entirely with communist-sympathizers? Simmons seems like he’s just going through the motions to placate the people who surround him.
Listen to my podcast instead (The Franchise). Clearly way better than this. Wish I was friends with Bill Simmons so I could get away with this week after week.
I LOVE this Sean and Amanda's discussions about films, but these ads are insane! I'm listening on Apple pod, and there were ads at 1min30secs, then again at 4min30secs. PLEASE do a better job of placing ads at regular intervals. Cutting off a convo after random sentences MINUTES apart is an awful experience
Great podcast. But sometimes the hosts get so caught up in the discussion, they forget that there’s an audience and that audience is not as cinematically literate as them. They often make references without explaining them or why they are significant. No I don’t know why Perfidia is such a perfect name. If Chase Infiniti does not get the joke behind Sisterhood of the Brave Beaver, neither do I.
