Really appreciated the deep dive into 3 Body Problem. Unfortunately for me the incessant laughter detracted from the insights.
They seem like great women. They like all the things I like. And I like they’re perspective takes on topics. But these 2 are unhinged, and not in the best way lol. And that laugh, over and over again is cringe and makes me wish I didn’t have ears. Just tone it down just 1 notch please. I stopped listening months ago for this. Came back just to see, but still the same. I love they’re friendship and banter but they should try to treat this as somewhat work. I know I sound like a grandpa complainin... more
…in that it gives you something you didn’t know you needed, until it was there. Over the years — and dating back to “Talk the Thrones” with Chris Ryan & Jason Concepcion — The Ringer helped introduce me to podcasts, and has immeasurably enriched my understanding & appreciation of the movies & shows it covers. I love how Bill Simmons decided NOT to offer listeners a family of pods stemming from a single, cult of personality-like perspective on the culture (e.g., Joe Rogan, Call Her Daddy, Pat Mc... more
First of all Joanna is a freaking genius! Love her independently. Everything. Her voice, laugh, anything puts me at ease. I listen to her if I need to relax. However, when she pods with Mallory it’s insufferable. Especially when talking about HotD. The hate for team Green is unreal. Mal’s really bright, but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. And the laugh… Untenable. Season 2 is coming! Some of us HATE Rhenera! Please cut the ____!

Fast forward to now, after several years of listening to many enjoyable podcasting hours, having discovered the best two people to break down pop culture for me once Joanna Robinson and Mallory had found each other, with a podcast of my own now with over 100 episodes and counting, and I couldn’t imagine opening Apple Podcasts without having somethin... more
