  • Cut to commercial

Why, why, why do you cut to commercials when Kelly is in the middle of a sentence?!?! This is the only podcast that does that. Someone doesn’t know what they’re doing apparently. Disappointing. Frustrating.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DTL -The Interviews: David Mcdavid
Q: How did interagency collaboration affect advancing the investigation?
The task force, involving Baton Rouge, state police, and AG resources, was crucial; shared information and newer forensics practices helped connect the dots when individual agencies were stretched thin.
DTL -The Interviews: David Mcdavid
Q: What stands out to you about how the Lee case unfolded in the community?
The case shook a small town; early peeping-tom reports and burglaries pointed to a pattern, and limited resources meant we had to lean on neighbor networks, local knowledge, and eventually external help for DNA.
DTL -The Interviews: David Mcdavid
Q: Can you tell our listeners a bit about your background and how you came into law enforcement?
I started in Zachary after high school and worked my way up from patrol to detectives; I eventually became Chief, and later ran for mayor after many years serving the city.
Ask Me Anything 2025!
Q: What started your love with law enforcement in true crime?
My interest started in childhood and was further fueled by my criminology studies in college.
Ask Me Anything 2025!
Q: How did you come up with the name for your amazing podcast?
The name 'Unspeakable' was suggested by my producer Jim and perfectly encapsulates the nature of the crimes discussed.
