  • Pretty Funny, Also 🤔

Good show. Undoubtedly the funniest of the “revolutions” podcasts. Lots of informative and insightful content. Though I fear they may never know the genius that is Wu Tang v Ninja (1985), aka Ninja Hunter.

  • One of the Best podcasts on politics

I have enjoyed this podcast for a couple years. And I subscribe to the Patreon. Always very informed. Also the show doesn’t take itself too seriously. Great guests for topics on left politics, socialism, sports, black culture and much much more.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP. 910: THE GEN Z UPRISING IN KENYA ft. NJERI AND NICHOLAS MWANGI
Q: Why is it important to critique the Gen Z framing of the uprising?
Framing helps mobilization but can depoliticize or misrepresent the breadth of participation and the structural causes driving resistance, including class, labor, and economic policy.
EP. 910: THE GEN Z UPRISING IN KENYA ft. NJERI AND NICHOLAS MWANGI
Q: What is the deeper historical background to the Gen Z protests in Kenya beyond current events?
The guests trace continuity from colonial-era struggles, the Mau Mau movement, land reform issues, and post-independence governance dynamics, showing how land, inequality, and elite co-option shape modern protests.
EP. 911: THE AFRICA IDEA ft. WHITNEY SCHNEIDMAN
Q: Do you believe America should have more of a hands-off approach to Africa?
No, the guest argues for a positive partnership based on mutual respect and mutual benefit, with active engagement and collaboration across governments to address health, education, and development.
EP. 904: WHAT STALE HELL
Q: My first question doesn't work. Can you tell us a little bit about Corp Watch?
The hosts discuss Corp Watch as a source for investigating connections between private interests and government policy, suggesting it provides context for understanding how corporate networks intersect with public power in the Trump era and beyond.
WHAT FRESH HELL EP. 30
Q: Is it working though?
The host and guest discuss whether the current political and immigration strategies in Europe are effective, highlighting the complexity of integrating migrants and the dangers of over-simplified racial narratives while recognizing the need for pragmatic policy improvements.
