Enjoy the show, wondering if your latest guest on National Security had read on ‘British Security Coordination: Secret History of British Intelligence in the Americas 1940-45’
Danny is the podcast host equivalent of Kanye taking the mic and saying “ima let you finish but” interrupting his guests to answer his own questions and then asking them if they agree with him. Please learn to not interrupt or let Derek take the lead he is a much better host and interviewer. Also Robert Wright does not know what he’s talking about, why is he even here ? Broiest bro down I’ve ever had the displeasure of listening to.
EXTREMELY well-researched and high quality. Excellent discussions, very academic, but still very fun to listen to.
Exceptional coverage of global news with in depth interviews, well worth paying for as well as listening to the public episodes
Easily the best balance of covering world events succinctly while offering intelligent analysis and interviews with actually interesting people and not just former ambassadors who drone on and on.
There are only so many hours in the day and so this is now the only foreign affairs podcast I have time for.

A sharp, analytically driven show that centers geopolitics, foreign policy, and political economy, often tracing the interplay between state power, capital, and global institutions. Episodes typically feature scholars, researchers, and policy experts who dissect current events, historical trends, and ideological currents—from energy transitions and the politics of the Global South to media, tech, and cultural history. Noteworthy are deep dives into liberalism, Cold War legacies, multipolarity, and on-the-ground reporting from conflict zones, paired with rigorous critique of mainstream narratives. Listeners are likely drawn to thoughtful, left-leaning analysis that challenges conventional wisdom and connects theory to contemporary power dyna... more
