It’s a relief to know I’m not the only one feeling alone and battling with the feeling of loneliness. I just listened to the interview with Hillary McBride near the end I cried. Eyes filled with tears. The voice inside maybe is ours. Maybe they’re the same. Maybe the “god” we are seeking and searching our whole life as we try to make sense of this world, is inside us all along as our voice.... or “maybe they’re the same”. Thank you for this.
I’m in an exploration phase, and will probably be for the rest of my life. Coming out of the Christian faith, my first time listening to this podcast felt rebellious! (That sounds so silly now.)
As a Christian, I was not permitted to be curious about other world views, question anything, and was taught to try to convert or “witness,” rather than understand. So listening to Brady simply ask questions and listen, without his ego getting in the way to challenge the other person... without an agen... more
