Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ask Dr. Hall: Your Plastic Surgery Questions Answered Part 1 (Ep. 94)
Q: How do I choose CC size for breast augmentation with many options?
Focus on the look you want instead of getting overwhelmed by size options; there are measurements in the office and some wiggle room in surgery to fine-tune the final result.
Ask Dr. Hall: Your Plastic Surgery Questions Answered Part 1 (Ep. 94)
Q: Does your belly button get detached during a tummy tuck?
No, the belly button stays attached; it's just a scar connected to the uterus originally, and we create a new hole through which it pokes out, keeping it attached in almost all cases.
Ask Dr. Hall: Your Plastic Surgery Questions Answered Part 1 (Ep. 94)
Q: If I didn't want implants, can you do fat grafting?
Fat grafting is great for small volume improvements and natural results, but for a significant size increase it won't suffice; implants are often required for larger changes.
Ask Dr. Hall: Your Plastic Surgery Questions Answered Part 1 (Ep. 94)
Q: So, Dr. Hall, how do I know if I need a breast lift if I want a breast augmentation?
The common mistake is not lifting when a lift is needed; if you can lift your breast at all, you probably need a lift. A simple pencil test helps you decide: if you can hold a pencil in your breast crease, you'll likely benefit from a lift with augmentation; if you can't, augmentation alone might work.
Ask Dr. Hall: Your Plastic Surgery Questions Answered Part 2 (Ep. 95)
Q: Do you prefer drains or drainless tummy tucks?
Both options are used; drainless tummy tucks are preferred when there is less liposuction, but drains are still used when extensive liposuction is performed to prevent seroma.
