  • Top notch!!!

A great listen, providing plenty to think about.

Highly recommend giving this a listen to anyone that has :

    - the constant questioning of our own thoughts,

    - the constant chatter in our minds,

    - the to and fro’ing of what’s the correct/right way forward.

I’m new to podcasts, and find it hard to use them to aid my thoughts (another thing making noise in an already busy mind 😜) but, Becca opens one to new thought processes and is a really easy listen.

Looking forward to the next edition/episode ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 55 : Does Doubt Mean Don’t? : Trap Talk
Q: So this week, I have a question from a listener. Becca, I'll often feel really clear about doing something like it's a yes, and then I end up talking myself out of it or thinking of a gazillion reasons not to do it. Can you help?
Becca reframes doubt as a natural part of the decision process, not a failure of intent. She suggests slowing down, recognizing the multiple internal voices as a single, shifting perspective, and observing the mind with curiosity rather than rewarding its certainty with action. The key takeaway is to hold space for uncertainty without letting it stop you from acting on what you truly feel or gut.
Episode 46 : The Body Image Trap : Trap Talk
Q: What would you say about feeling exhausted managing food and exercise?
Becca acknowledges the exhaustion of constantly trying to manage oneself and points to the need to look beyond just plans towards understanding where feelings about the body originate.
Episode 43 - Axes and Beards : The Thought Trap
Q: What do you do to get out of your own head when things feel hard?
I go to the gym, it's my therapy. I also gather with friends to talk and share experiences.
Episode 42: The Physical Trap : Trap Talk
Q: I'm trying to stop smoking or at least I'm playing with not doing it. How do I get through that?
Becca explains that the physical pull is a part of the experience of withdrawal and emphasizes understanding this as just stuff moving through us rather than something personal or negative.
Episode 37: The Other Side : The Thought Trap
Q: How did you become a coach?
Becca explained that after discovering teachings that resonated with her, she pursued training to help others understand and manage their thoughts, eventually leading her to open her practice.
