  • A podcast that feels like making new friends

I started this series about two months ago (July 2023) and couldn’t stop listening. Julie made every interview feel like we were making new friends while learning about the author’s stories, too. I listened to every episode in about a month’s time. I love that i can keep listening since there are a constant stream of new authors to interview. If you love crime and learning about each author’s journey, I’d highly recommend taking a listen as soon as you have the chance.

  • I’m re-upping my membership!

Listening to this episode on my walk made it not seem like exercise. I enjoyed listening to Delia C. Pitts. Her P. I. character Rook sounds so intriguing I’m going to buy her books and also re-up m membership in SinC.

Start as soon as you realize you want to write, don't quit, and seek support from peers; persistence and belief in your process are key, because breakthroughs can come unexpectedly through networks and mentors.

She keeps each series distinct by staying in the world she creates, writing in order, and using scene cards and a bulletin board to rearrange as needed, ensuring continuity across installments.
