  • A podcast that feels like making new friends

I started this series about two months ago (July 2023) and couldn’t stop listening. Julie made every interview feel like we were making new friends while learning about the author’s stories, too. I listened to every episode in about a month’s time. I love that i can keep listening since there are a constant stream of new authors to interview. If you love crime and learning about each author’s journey, I’d highly recommend taking a listen as soon as you have the chance.

  • I’m re-upping my membership!

Listening to this episode on my walk made it not seem like exercise. I enjoyed listening to Delia C. Pitts. Her P. I. character Rook sounds so intriguing I’m going to buy her books and also re-up m membership in SinC.

I used to read a lot of crime fiction in my teenage years, but after a traumatic event, I struggled with reading crime until a friend's book reignited my love for the genre.

Persistence is essential; giving up too soon can hinder your growth as a writer.
