  • Time Elavate great physicians

There is too much doom and gloom in the medical community. Hospitals and Networks want to propogate this narrative in order to control the newly minted and future doctors of the world. We aim to show people that Doctors are great people with great stories that need to be told/. All of the guests are great mentors and examples of what medicine should contine to be.

Talking Points

237 How DPC is Growing in Pediatrics
Q: Drew, tell me, you said you guys are dabbling in a capitation model with one of the Medicaid lines of business. What challenges does that present?
The main friction comes from how Medicaid, and insurance broadly, require data and CPT-based documentation. DPC avoids CPTs, but insurers still want data to prove care delivery; a true capitation model would need actuarial data and flexible contracts, or a separate contracting entity to keep the DPC arm distinct.
199 My Journery through Pediatrics in an Independent practice in GA
Q: What motivated the creation of the CIN and how did it shape your practice?
The CIN was created to preserve autonomy while gaining bargaining power and improving care through shared data and clinical integration; it helped align primary, specialty, and hospital services and enabled better contracting and quality improvement across numerous practices.
199 My Journery through Pediatrics in an Independent practice in GA
Q: Why did you become a pediatrician?
I was drawn to caring for healthy children and watching them grow, rather than treating adults with self-inflicted conditions; pediatrics offered a positive trajectory and ongoing relationships that extend over many years.
203 Rural Pediatrics: Where Every Child Still Matters with Eric Tyler M.D.
Q: Why did you become a pediatrician, and how did you end up in rural medicine?
I was inspired by early experiences with family and a desire to improve care for kids where access was limited, which led me to move from urban centers to rural Alabama to make a real difference in my community.
217 President of Med-Chi , Judge, Patholagist and Friend
Q: What book would you recommend for pediatric leaders to read, and why?
He recommends When Breath Becomes Air, a moving memoir by a neurosurgeon dealing with life, death, and meaning, as a source of reflection for physicians in leadership roles.
