That title sums up everything you need to know about how Hallie does her show. It’s clear how much she cares about historical accuracy, respectful sensitivity, and well-reasoned discussion.
I love this podcast but I’m completely taken aback that the host would do intensive research into a Judaism-themed episode and then use the word Palestine instead of Israel, especially when her research comes from some ISRAELI sources. It’s pretty offensive, considering Tsfat, the home of Kabbalah is located in ISRAEL. It’s a place, and it’s offensive to erase it by purposefully calling it something it’s not.
This podcast is so well done. The episodes are fascinating and well researched. The host presents topics with professionalism and sensitivity and provides a lot of information about the broader context. Plus her voice is so pleasant to listen to!
