This is NOT simply historical content and macabre entertainment. Unfortunately, the host makes social and political commentary about victorian era happenings from her modern left-leaning viewpoint. She makes sure to alienate listeners who do not support her leftist politics. People with TDS will love this. Everyone else will search for better delivery of similar content.
I’ve only just discovered this podcast and as a fan of all (weird) things Victorian I think it is excellent! It’s also fascinating to me as a Brit to get an American perspective on Victorian culture. Genevieve is a very genial host. Please keep going!

I appreciate her authenticity and her willingness to be so open with her audience. She gets me. I WISH I FOUND HER SOONER! I’m an exhausted mother of 4 and this is a MUST part of my self care routine ! I hope you read this an... more
THANK YOU!! For being HONEST about the age "before reason"...
As sick as it may be...
I love that Genevieve shared about her own views while also helping me learn more about stories I likely never would have come across on my own.
P.S. Much of what’s spooky about the Victorian era is directly tied to the politics of that time! Conversation about politics is always relevant. ✨
