Unexplained is a haunting and unsettling bi-weekly podcast about strange and mysterious real life events that continue to evade explanation. A story-based show mixing spoken-word narrative, history and ideas - often to terrifying effect - that explores the space between what we think of as real and what is not; where sometimes belief can be as concrete as ‘reality,’ whatever that is…

  • Updated Review

The change of direction doesn’t work. What used to be a fun mysteries podcast has become yet another crime podcast. As if we don’t have enough of them already. Quirky and idiosyncratic mystery podcast becomes boring and mundane crime cast. Very sad decline.

  • What’s with the narrators voice?

Could probably be good but I’ve tried several episodes but can’t finish anyone due to the very monotonous narrator voice. I don’t get a feeling for the story, the words just becomes a sound and I find myself not following the story.

  • Adverts and voice intonation!

I really like the show but the adverts are very excessive! Richard’s voice used to be soothing in the first few seasons but it sounds like an AI voice in last season. The intonations are completely wrong. Can’t listen anymore. Pity.
