Unexplained is a haunting and unsettling bi-weekly podcast about strange and mysterious real life events that continue to evade explanation. A story-based show mixing spoken-word narrative, history and ideas - often to terrifying effect - that explores the space between what we think of as real and what is not; where sometimes belief can be as concrete as ‘reality,’ whatever that is…

  • Great podcast but too many ads

Hurts to give this any less than 5 stars, but multiple multi-minute long ad segments per episode are just killing it for me.

I understand this needs to be profitable and it would be acceptable if it was limited to pre- and post-roll ads but those mid-roll segments just rip you out of the storytelling with a tonal shift so hard it might as well be accompanied by a slap to the face. Please consider making a change.

  • Ads and Narration

The vocal modulation of the narrator is frustrating—he emphasizes the wrong words and swallows whole the operative words in every sentence. I realize this is his show and creation—but he should step down from narration and get someone more professional. The ads are just obnoxious—disrupting the podcast midway through is just ridiculous. They are bad enough at the beginning in that they go on forever—also the sound engineering in the recording quality between the podcast vs ads is just jarring! I... more

  • The narration is off putting

I love the content of this but can’t listen to the narrator. I wasn’t sure if it was AI at first as the monotone voice is not very human. Reminds me of my local bingo caller when reading out numbers. Really wanted to like this podcast but can’t listen
