Absolutely love The Lonely Leader and it often accompanies me on my commute in to work! What really stands out is how James makes leadership feel accessible to everyone, not just CEOs or big-shot executives. He talks about leading in all areas of life - whether that’s a club, a small team, or even as a parent - which makes it relatable and practical. James is so down to earth and approachable, I think he’s actual local to me, and his advice always comes with small, actionable steps rather than j... more
A great listen, I’ve learnt some new techniques from James that have changed my approach and results. A mix of new ideas, common sense and practical tips. I love that James challenges me to try things that I hadn’t thought would be for me (like journaling and visualisation) by making them feel down to earth and doable in my daily routines
Really enjoying this podcast, reassuring to hear we’re all facing the same issues. Great perspective on the modern myth of work / life balance.
Great insight, tips and tricks that I have applied to my work/home life. Useful to anyone in a leadership role. Thank you
I’m a leader of quite a large team and really love the common sense in some of these episodes. Being consistent I thought is extremely relevant, and obvious individualised things like ‘give someone their birthday off, if you can, you’ll get a lot more engagement from that kindness than you would have done had they been at work for that one day’. Easy to listen to, entirely unpretentious and very helpful advice for anyone in a leadership position.
