This podcast is more of a nostalgic walk down memory lane regarding Bond’s Aston Martins DB5 vs. a podcast about what happened to the vehicle. The true crime portion of the podcast could have been wrapped up in 2 episodes while the remaining time (6 episodes) is dedicated to historical information and personalities that had some poignant sound bites. As a true crime fan, this podcast was disappointing. If I wanted a history lesson, I would have gone to Wikipedia
The series starts off well, but by episode four, they take deep dives into side topics like the DB 5 toy, how the car inspired custom modifications. This series could have been an entertaining, tight, four episodes.
Well written, produced and presented. A great yarn, and not too heavy and serious which sometimes you really need!
Has anyone thought maybe, the owner had his own car “stolen” to collect the cash from the insurance company?! Note he didn’t need to the money, but he sure profited. 🤨
They made 8 episodes for this podcast, when 2 or 3 would have told the story of the stolen DB5. Don’t waste your time on the podcast-read a newspaper article that will only 10 minutes. This was a poorly edited and overly verbose windbag of a multitude of stories.
