The host has great guests , but seems to get over excited at some points, and can’t stop himself from interrupting their thoughts. The interview with Eli Zabar was like water torture after while.
So informative and engaging for all wine enthusiasts. Sam Benrubi is a dynamic host and interviewer. There’s humor and personal stories centered around a shared passion for the love of wine and food.
Unique wine show different from the rest.
Pretty epic show with a host who asks great questions. I can understand how some people might not like the hosts style; might not be for everyone but honestly those reviewers sound pretty snobby haha
Great podcast for those who want something different in wine / restaurants
I'm a longtime fan. That said, very curious pivot to create a "new" concept based on what was easily the worst part of The Grape Nation - the questions where Sam constantly interrupts and talks over the guests. This has always been a podcast that relies on the strength of the guests rather than the host. I'm glad it exists though, and will continue to listen.
