I'd never listen to this show again after John's rather pathetic, apologetic, and obsequious defence of Grange La Chappelle. Sadly, free speech is under threat so he is entitled to his views but it struck me as what I always find an issue with wine critics, they can never criticise anything with a reputation in their industry.
I find the 10mn Masterclass to be interesting, but I don’t get the concept. Why are we feeling like we gotta run for our lives? Can’t we do 12 or 15mn and all have a better time? And that freaking “1-minute left bell” ! For the love of God, don’t put it right next to your microphone! I almost had a heart attack! I really love the information and depth of knowledge in this podcast, but I just can’t get past the presenter’s delivery at times. He lapses into silly and juvenile voices frequently, which is really distracting.
