  • Politics isn’t what I came here for

Can’t say it’s not about politics and then make it about politics and your opinions. I liked your material until you went down that road. I hear this stuff enough throughout the day, I don’t need to hear it in my interior design podcasts. Wish you would have stuck with interior design and maybe share your politics in your IG stories, if you feel it’s necessary.

Q: If there's something that you can tell someone to do today to better connect with their audience, is there anything that could happen today?
Be willing to be vulnerable; share a real, tangible story from your own life and one concrete example of how it affected a client or project to start building authentic connection.
79: Clutter-Free Life: How Clearing Your Space Can Transform Your Mindset with Helen Sanderson
Q: What advice do you have for designers to gently address clutter with clients without overstepping?
Focus on compassionate storytelling, set early expectations, and present changes as paths to the client's future self rather than criticizing their past. Use case stories, provide optional resources, and position yourself as a partner helping the client see what the space could be.
95: Why Interior Designers Need to Understand Construction to Grow Their Business with Renee Biery
Q: How do you incorporate construction into your business and decide who handles it?
Renee explains that construction becomes a core part of her practice by choosing independent pathways, aligning with builders when appropriate, and educating clients and teams about the process; she emphasizes collaboration with contractors as partners rather than adversaries and advises designers to stay involved on-site to maintain control and quality.
91: What Holds Interior Designers Back: Sourcing Fear, Pricing Pushback, and Building Better Systems with Heather McManus
Q: What is the biggest mindset shift you recommend to designers facing burnout or growth plateaus?
