I just listened to the episode about Howard’s “The Phoenix on the Sword,” and it’s over 27 minutes before you get to the subject of the podcast. The overlong opening banter made me want to cleave some skulls.
Also, it’s CO-nuhn, not Co-NAN

Love the Cromcast! A great balance between looking at the stories and thinking about them and having fun with them!
I’ve been interested in fantastic literature (and gaming) for as long as I can remember. These hosts make the topic approachable and accessible and give it an erudite touch as well, both with their own original thinking and their top-notch guest lineup. It’s a tough balance to hit, but they’ve done it.
Not only is this a massively informative and stimulating discussion of all things Howardian and weird in general but the actual play aspect is one of the best there is. I listen to a lot of AP podcasts and Bourbon and Barbarians is perhaps my favourite. It’s the kind of group I’d love to play with. Keep on delivering, guys, and I’ll keep listening.
I have loved Robert E. Howard, Conan and barbarians my whole life. All the pulp adventure stuff is great! These guys have Cimmerian blood in their veins!
"Crom cares not! Chart your own path of blood, sword, wenches and victory! Now be off with your politically correct drivel before I cleave your skull!"
