  • Be better

This show would be so much better if Bmitch could stop saying “the thing about it is” or “the whole thing about it is.” Sounds like a 4 year old.

You’ve been in radio for 2 decades - I’m sure you can do better. The guys sometimes also sound like they’re winging it and constantly reaching out for help to the guys behind the glass.

  • Trying too hard

JP’s attempts at being fresh is overbearing. An example are his insistence that he refers to everyone by a modern sounding nickname. It’s a bore and immature.

Spencer suggests a mixed approach is plausible, as the team is ahead of schedule and could trade away some pieces for future flexibility while adding bullpen arms or a starter to maintain competitiveness.

Q: What impact does the upcoming MLB Draft have on the 11th pick, given the looming work stoppage?
He believes the lockout will not affect the draft itself and that the new front office process has altered their approach, with two-hitters like Chris Akopian and Jared Gridlinger among the players linked to the team.

Q: Do you think Washington has done enough to address their biggest need this off-season?
The discussion emphasized strengthening the depth of the receiving corps and the belief that the defense and running game are also critical components; a veteran presence or additional weapons could help, but the overall view was that the team has fortified the unit beyond the top two receivers.

Q: How does this impact Connor McMichael and the young core?
McMichael is a talented, homegrown player with potential to grow into a 30-goal contributor; Kyrou's arrival creates an opportunity discussion about how the younger players adapt and compete for top roles, with the expectation that Kyrou brings proven production to the lineup.
