  • Mailbag: College Fantasy Football

Hi guys. Love the show. I’m an avid nfl fantasy football player. I’ve recently started getting into college fantasy football. In my opinion it takes a lot more research, but that’s the fun part.

My question to you all: Do you think once the top of college football consolidates to 40 or so teams and players collectively bargain, that college fantasy football has the potential to explode?

It feels like there’s a lot of room for growth with the current barriers of entry being too many teams and r... more

  • Mailbag: Jamie Chadwell and LIberty

Since you guys had the courage to spend 9 minutes on Purdue, I know you can give us a few on Jamie Chadwell and Liberty. Not long ago, Chadwell was a potential hot candidate and seemed to make a lateral move for better resources in order to carve a path to a P4 job. After a coaching carousel with tons of openings, where experienced HCs got looks over upstart Coordinators, his name barely came up. So I ask you, what happened to Jamie Chadwell?

Long time listener of this show. Love it.

Mailbag Question: Is Michigan’s Warde Manuel the greatest AD of all time?

6 national championships in 3 years at UConn.

Kept Harbaugh through a 2-4 2020 season when everyone wanted him fired — CFP title three years later.

Just won the 2026 men’s basketball title at Michigan, possibly making him the first AD ever to win a men’s basketball natty at two different schools.

The bad: sign stealing, a federal hacking indictment, and two football coaches... more

In the new NIL era… why is Arkansas not a power house? Walmart, Tyson foods, Jerry Jones and JB Hunt all have connections to the school. Seems like they have no reason to not pay the big money to get the best players… the basketball buy in has improved… but not football. Not sure of too many other schools that have this kind of potential donors that seem to not want to “buy” a championship. Could they be the next Indiana with the right head coach?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Early 2026 Georgia Season Preview | Cover 3 Summer School
Q: What about the offense around him—how does the tight end room and receiving group shape up for Georgia?
The tight ends are exceptionally talented and the staff expects them to be a major factor, especially in the middle of the field; the receivers are deep with several contributors like Isaiah Canyon and Talon Taylor, though much of the group remains inexperienced and will require time to gel.
Early 2026 Georgia Season Preview | Cover 3 Summer School
Q: Is there a next step Gunner Stockton can take to help carry the offense even more this year?
Stockton needs to be more willing to take deep shots, trust receivers down the field, and improve in throwing over the middle while continuing to show toughness and resilience.
Early 2026 Notre Dame Season Preview | Cover 3 Summer School
Q: Where do you think the step comes from?
Tim and Bud discuss the likely sources of improvement for Notre Dame, emphasizing CJ Carr's growth, the evolution of the offensive system under Dembrock, and the need for contributions from emerging players and a strengthened supporting cast to maximize Carr's potential.
Early 2026 Fresno State Season Preview | Cover 3 Summer School
Q: Coming out of spring, do you have a read on who's ahead in the quarterback battle?
On paper Christian Martin appears to be ahead, but the competition with Mandel remains open, and there are indications the coaching staff will evaluate multiple weeks into the season before naming a clear starter.
Early 2026 Wake Forest Season Preview | Cover 3 Summer School
Q: How do you think Gio Lopez changes the offense compared to Robbie Ashford?
The offense is aiming to get the ball out quickly with a more efficient short passing game, leveraging Gio's arm to hit intermediate routes and reduce long-ball risk, while maintaining explosive plays.
