  • Keep it going.

The time in between seasons can be rough. But you guys are doing great. Would love to get some more random rankings during the off-season to go along with the drafts. Or maybe you can draft your random rankings so that none of you can have the same list.

Great show and great guys to boot. Hope you will both be down in Charlotte for ACC. Hope to meet you there.

  • Love Andy BUT Ari is the worst

I tried, but Ari is an insufferable buffoon. Pompous, pseudo intellectuals repeatedly use words/phrases like “revelatory, contextualize, proof-of-concept…”. Ari is the worst. Same tired cliches from AW every show. “Give him his flowers” is such a douchy and wussie thing to say, let alone repeat routinely. It is really NOT something that adult, grown men should say. Ari is the absolute worst with his forced radio accent, his phony intellectualism, and his pompous, pretentious demeanor. (Let’s “... more

  • Ok

Decent show but so much repetition. Also please stop talking about Cody Campbell. That guy is a massive narcissist and a huge nerd.

  • Whiny

Long time fan but there’s been WAY too much whining. Literally every episode. If you don’t like college football, get out.

  • Great show but a few flaws

I really like the show but I get sick of the way Andy is constantly crapping on Ari. Sometimes it’s so annoying I have to stop listening.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TCU’s Sonny Dykes: ‘It would be much more of a bargain to collectively bargain’
Q: What is Sonny Dykes's view on how college football should handle player compensation and collective bargaining?
Dykes suggests that moving toward a collective bargaining model, with structured benefits like insurance and retirement plans, could potentially be cheaper and more stable than a free-for-all arms race among programs, but admits it comes with significant implementation costs and complexity.
Big 12 Media Days are UNDERWAY: Why didn’t Brett Yormark answer ANY questions about Texas Tech?
Q: Is there a world or something that Brett Yormark could have done that vehemently supported Texas Tech and not cared?
The consensus answer is no; the league is in a delicate position where supporting Tech could appear biased, and legal risk and ongoing litigation constrain how explicitly the commissioner can address the situation.
Are the Big Ten & SEC considering MORE realignment with the intro of the Protect College Sports Act? Drafting the Top Venues in CFB
Q: Dear Andy and Ari, do you think the Protect College Sports Act will pass and how would it affect conference realignment timelines?
They believe it likely won't pass as written, but if it takes effect, it could accelerate timing by pressuring schools to make moves sooner, especially if threats to block additions become leverage.
SPOT THE BALL: After Texas trash talk, Texas Tech wants the Longhorns in Week One
Q: How could a 'trap door' mechanism actually work in college football scheduling?
They discuss navigating calendars, TV contracts, and CFP considerations, suggesting a formalized but practical system that could trigger late-season matchups to resolve critical questions or bolster narrative television value.
SPOT THE BALL: After Texas trash talk, Texas Tech wants the Longhorns in Week One
Q: What did you think about Cody Campbell's tweet offering to pay buyouts?
Andy and Ari reflect on the spectacle and absurdity of booster involvement, acknowledging the entertainment value while also recognizing the complex, real-world implications for program governance and scheduling strategy.
