This podcast was excellent with Wetzel, Forde and Dellenger. Dellenger is still great. Staples is too loud. Godfrey just tries to show he’s as smart and connected as the other two (he isn’t). And then Godfrey and Staples just talk over each other with nonsense while Ross waits patiently to talk actual football or off the field issues. It’s unfortunate.
This podcast shows what a great host wetzel was. Now he’s playing second fiddle to another inSECure windbag like rece. These guys act impartial but they see things through a southern lens only.
Okay, I take it back. Ross and Andy are okay but the other guy is unlistenable. He tries to overcompensate his inSECure education by trying to seem smarter than he is.
Andy and Russ are great. I don't get why Godfrey continues to cover a sport he clearly despises. I tried to listen and wanted to like it but Godfrey's hate of college football is just too tough to fight through.
If they renamed the show to describe what they actually do now, I’d give a higher rating. Ross and the guys are fun to listen to, but if you want to know about anything outside of the SEC and like two teams in the big 12, you will need to find another podcast.
Ross still has a lot of value and Andy is doing a decent job running the show, but it’s not the same without Dan and Pat.
Dan and Pat never took themselves too serious. I think that’s the biggest change.
