  • Solid but Not Great

I used to really like this show, but it’s no longer a must listen for me. Joel seems to be a great dude, but he clearly has something against the SEC and a particular interest in the BIG. I don’t really get it because he played at Colorado. I don’t like to label anyone a “hater” because it’s so overused, but it really does seem like he doesn’t like the SEC. The SEC is the premier conference in college football by a wide margin. Year after year, the SEC has the deepest league, but Joel can’t brin... more

  • Informative and humble

Joel is a very nice guy. He’s got a lot of knowledge of college football both as a former player and a very active commentator. However, one of the best things about him is his humility. This year he picked Clemson to win the natty. As of late September, they are a mess. On his latest show, Joel admitted he got it wrong. Like to see that from any public figure. Frankly, it is rare.
