Tried to listen to the episode about SSRIs and couldn’t even get past the first 5 minutes of the guest speaking.Horrible interviewing skills from the host.

The guest had her child interrupting her, which is fine, but edit it out? I don’t want to listen to the guest asking her child to be quiet. Not everyone needs a podcast…

  • Good info, but her birth story podcast made me question if I want to keep listening to her

I have listened to a handful of episodes that presented information on birth in general, and they were interesting. I was curious about her birth story when I saw that episode come out, so I listened to that (first episode I’ve listened to where she shared personal information rather than general birth education), and it honestly rubbed me the wrong way on several different occasions. First, I was weirded out by the fact that she referred to her baby as “they/them” throughout almost the entire e... more

  • Not the full perspective

I continue to listen to this podcast because it gives valuable information. The podcast give you the information that medical providers do not want you to know but it does not give you the information to put the information the providers do want you to know into context. It is so hard to find places that give you the full picture. I feel like this podcast give you the alternate perspective on the topics discussed, but it only give you the opposite side not both sides. The effect this podcast had... more

  • Only women can give birth

Info isn’t bad, however, how can people take your info seriously when you don’t even admit the biggest fact of biology and birth? Only BIOLOGICAL WOMEN can give birth.

Ep. 461: What I wish dog parents did before bringing home their baby with Dominika Knossalla-Pado
Q: Should preparation start before the baby is born or can it wait until after birth?
Begin preparations during pregnancy with a formal checklist, sounds training, crate or bed boundaries, and scent introduction strategies to gradually acclimate the dog to the baby's presence.
Ep. 461: What I wish dog parents did before bringing home their baby with Dominika Knossalla-Pado
Q: What did that look like when the dog hunter behavior surfaced, and how did you respond in the moment?
Dominika describes separating the dog, quickly implementing a barrier, and then building a broader plan around training the dog to a 'stay on bed' cue and controlled separation, recognizing the episode required professional guidance and a calm, strategic approach.
Ep. 459: The Vaccine Debate Parents Actually Need from their Pediatrician Drs Alok and Joel
Q: What do you think has eroded trust in the healthcare system when it comes to vaccines, and how can we begin to repair it?
Trust has eroded due to conflicting messages, political framing, and a lack of nuanced conversations. Both doctors and public health bodies should engage in open, respectful dialogues, acknowledge parental concerns, and provide transparent, data-backed explanations without shaming or coercion; emphasize individualized, informed consent and partner with families to restore trust.
Ep. 453: Elimination Communication Explained: Potty Cues, Diaper-Free Babies & EC Tips w/ Andrea Olson
Q: What is elimination communication on the most basic terms?
EC is a natural approach that works with a baby's early signals and cues to use the potty, rather than forcing traditional diaper-based potty training timelines; it is about attuning to the baby and responding to their needs as early as possible.
