  • Great Resource!

I started listening after the birth of my first baby (I wish I had found it before I got pregnant the first time) and now that I am pregnant with my second, I am still finding so much value in the information presented. Highly recommend!

  • If You Want to Be Prepared - LISTEN

I was searching for any and all information related to pregnancy, birth, postpartum, motherhood, breastfeeding ALL things mom and baby. I had multiple books and other resources I was trying to cram when I found out I was pregnant in July 2025.

As a FTM (very type A) I was met with horror stories and push back when asking for advice or guidance from those around me. THIS PODCAST became my steady encouragement that allowed me to be prepared for just about any topic pertaining to what I was exper... more

  • Empowering

I found this podcast while pregnant with my third baby when I was just entering my third trimester. My first baby was born vaginally with an epidural and my second was a c-section because he was breech. I’m so glad I found your podcast. I knew I wanted to try for a VBAC this time, but when i learned this baby was also breech (and that she wasn’t flipping no matter what I did), your podcast gave me the confidence to know that a VBAC was still possible. I was lucky to find an OB and midwife team t... more

  • Went 43 Weeks and Eventful Birth - This podcast was the biggest thing that helped!

This podcast gave me the courage to switch from an OB to a birth center half way through my pregnancy, and then to a home birth midwife a few weeks after that! I was pregnant for 43 weeks and 2 days, with perfect non stress tests and a perfect BPP up until the last day. Unfortunately, I developed preeclampsia within a day and had to be induced with Pitocin at a hospital. Thanks to the knowledge and preparation from this podcast, I was able to still have an unmedicated birth. We dealt with prolon... more

Placenta Encapsulation: Should You Eat Your Placenta? Benefits, Risks & Postpartum Recovery w/Dr. Sophia Johnson
Q: What are the practical options for moms who are considering placentophagy?
Options include consuming raw placental tissue, dehydrated or steamed dehydrated capsules (TCM-style), or choosing not to consume but considering ritual aspects like burial; mothers can decide based on safety, personal beliefs, and observed effects, with guidance to minimize infection risk via proper processing.
Placenta Encapsulation: Should You Eat Your Placenta? Benefits, Risks & Postpartum Recovery w/Dr. Sophia Johnson
Q: What did your lab study show about how different placenta preparations affect hormone content?
We found that hormones are highly sensitive to heat; raw tissue contains the highest concentrations, while dehydration and especially steaming reduce hormone levels, particularly estrogens; progesterone is somewhat more heat-stable, and different preparation methods yield different hormone profiles.
Placenta Encapsulation: Should You Eat Your Placenta? Benefits, Risks & Postpartum Recovery w/Dr. Sophia Johnson
Q: Can you break down what the placenta is and what it does for a pregnant person and baby?
The placenta is an organ that supports pregnancy by providing nutrients, gas exchange, waste removal, and endocrine and immunologic functions; it acts as a multifunctional organ essential for the fetus and also produces hormones that influence the postpartum period.
What No One Told You About Fertility & Gestational Diabetes w/ Dr. Kiltz
Q: Is gestational diabetes a food thing, and can it be cured with diet?
The guest explains that gestational diabetes is linked to liver function and how the body handles sugars and amino acids; he argues a carnivore/keto approach that emphasizes fats can reduce inflammatory load and glucose levels, suggesting dietary change may mitigate gestational diabetes.
Birth Story: "Any Woman Who Wants an Unmedicated Birth Absolutely Can" w/Haley Sampson
Q: What parts of the host's birth course were most helpful for you?
She valued the clear outlines, phase-by-phase guidance, stall-busting movements, push-prep exercises, and the practical labors of choosing two options and practicing them. The course helped both her and her partner feel prepared and adaptable to changing circumstances.
