  • Highly recommend!

This podcast is not only super educational but it’s fun to listen to! Gorgeous women who are so balanced in their knowledge being on the more natural side of things but not blind to using modern medicine when it’s needed. I’ve been listening through trying to conceive and am now in my third trimester and have learned a lot.

The Future of IVF Embryo Testing (and What Rhino Babies Reveal About Fertility) with Cara Wells, PhD | #160
Q: Is this being used in clinics right now?
The technology is in research use with about five clinics participating to collect data and validate outcomes; broader adoption would require informed consent and further integration into lab workflows.
The Future of IVF Embryo Testing (and What Rhino Babies Reveal About Fertility) with Cara Wells, PhD | #160
Q: How does this differ from PGT testing?
PGT is a genetic test that requires biopsy and can risk embryo viability; the Emgenisys approach is non-invasive, uses video to assess dynamics, and aims to predict healthy pregnancy potential rather than genetically screening embryos.
The Future of IVF Embryo Testing (and What Rhino Babies Reveal About Fertility) with Cara Wells, PhD | #160
Q: What exactly does Emgenisys' technology measure in embryos?
The system analyzes real-time embryo dynamics from 30-second videos to infer metabolism and cellular activity, using machine learning to predict which embryos are most likely to result in live births, without removing cells from the embryo.
The Hidden Emotional Toll of Infertility with Dr. Andrea Liner | #144
Q: What do you see as some of the biggest struggles from a mental health standpoint for your clients?
A lot of people are really high functioning, high achieving, and this is the first time in their life that they've come across something that they can't muscle their way through.
The Hidden Emotional Toll of Infertility with Dr. Andrea Liner | #144
Q: What advice would you give to couples who are trying to conceive and struggling?
There needs to be a regular check-in on the fertility process, a place where you guys come together on purpose.
